We offer higher-quality joinery timber

Thanks to reliable suppliers, we work with joinery timber of the highest quality A, B and 0/1. We know that the quality of wood is also reflected in the final joinery products.

We have joinery timber in stock

We have most types of commonly used wood in stock. You don’t have to wait for months for sawn timber. We will quickly and efficiently provide for what you are looking for.

We invest in top-notch machines and modernize the company site

We are based at a modernized site with a completely renovated yard, a new hall, shelters, a modern boiler house and drying rooms. Through investments, we increase the efficiency and cleanliness of production.

We care about precision

We emphasize precise dimensions in thickness, length, and cutting accuracy. We cut boards and planks in standard thicknesses according to the customer’s requirements.

We do not look for shortcuts. Instead of cheap raw materials, we work with high-quality round timber and we carefully select each piece of sawtimber. We make sure that each board undergoes thorough selection and is cut from the best part of the trunk. See how we work with round timber.

Careful selection is a guarantee that the sawn timber will have not only a beautiful pattern, but also stable properties. We use FCS-certified wood, which comes from sustainably managed forests. Thanks to special halls on the premises in Ilava and qualified procedures, we can process it all year round, without compromising quality.

From a family business to a model for foreign partners

We have been active in the timber industry for two decades. For our family business, working with wood is not only our profession, but also a way of life. Thanks to our experienced employees, precision, and reliable adherence to deadlines, we maintain an almost zero complaint rate. This is one of the reasons why our international customers, including companies from Europe and Asia, see our Ilava operation as a benchmark. Our business partners also bring new clients to us, showing them the high standard of our products. They are impressed by the way work is organized across our premises. Take a look at the VIERI milestones:

2001: founding of a trade

Wood became a passion for us, so we founded a trade in 2001. At the beginning, we were based in rented premises in Valaská Belá. We started producing simple wooden products.

2004: ecological toys and our first contact with wood

We started producing wooden toys for a German company, which were exported to the Japanese market. We made the toys from rare woody plants, such as alder, and used non-toxic paints for the surface treatment. We realize how important the safety of toys is for children. There is no place for compromises there.

2016: founding of VIERI, s. r. o

With the experience gained through new collaborations came the need to establish a limited liability company. In 2016, we became a legal entity, which expanded our business opportunities in the timber industry.

2018: moving to our own premises

We moved from rented premises in Valaská Belá to our own premises in Ilava. We rebuilt the entire site. We have a warehouse, our operation, and an administrative building there. We are constantly investing in technologies and in improving the premises to ensure you the best quality of dried joinery timber.

FSC certificate: We treat the forest ecologically

We hold FSC certification, which confirms our ecological approach to wood processing. The wood we use is not chemically pre-treated. This certification is also valued by our international partners, who care not only about the quality of the wood, but also about its responsible processing. This approach allows us to reduce our carbon footprint and, in turn, lessen the negative impact on our planet.

Nothing goes to waste at VIERI. From the waste wood and bark, which are a by-product of wood processing, we produce wood chips for our own consumption. We use the wood chips as the main source of energy for a modern boiler house. This helps us reduce waste and ensure sustainable energy and heat production for our company.

A colleague and professional forester who oversees the quality of the wood raw material starting with the roots. In the regions of Považie, he buys wood from private owners and also from Lesy Slovenskej republiky (Forest of the Slovak Republic).
