Sharp and precise: From round timber to sawn timber

1) Selection of round timber

We carefully sort coniferous and deciduous trunks according to wood species and quality. We cut out unnecessary parts of the round timber, such as the central part of the beech. We later process the waste by-products into chips and firewood. We leave only the best parts from the trunk. This is what we will use to make high-quality joinery timber.

2) Handling and transportation

We handle and move the trunks to a ramp. We measure and mark them.

3) Sharply cut sawn timber

We cut the wood while preserving the bark on the sides to prevent unwanted cracking of the wood during drying. The result is less waste and higher strength of the sawn timber. This gives rustic sawn timber a natural, unique look.

4) Marking and storage

We sweep, mark and staple the cut boards and planks according to the customers’ wishes. This prepares the wood for drying.
