SAWLOG PURCHASING

Sell us your quality Slovak sawlogs

We buy hardwood and softwood sawlogs from private forest owners and LESY Slovenskej republiky, the Slovak state forestry enterprise. Our log buyer personally assesses the quality of every stem. Following an on-site inspection, we agree the price and can arrange collection with our own timber truck.

We buy logs suitable for quality sawn timber

When purchasing logs, the species is not the only deciding factor. The actual condition and usable yield of each stem matter most. We select healthy, straight sawlogs with the cleanest possible usable section. For both hardwood and softwood, we purchase quality grades 2, 3A, 3B and 3C.

We do not buy log ends affected by rot or sections with excessive knotting. We therefore inspect every log before making a price offer.

Hardwood sawlogs we buy

OAK SAWLOGS

Oak is one of our key species. We buy oak sawlogs suitable for solid wood furniture, stairs, flooring and barrels. During inspection, we assess how much of the stem can be processed into high-value joinery-grade sawn timber.

BEECH SAWLOGS

We buy beech sawlogs suitable for furniture, stairs, worktops and flooring. We are looking for sound timber with a good usable yield that can also be further processed by steaming.

ASH SAWLOGS

Ash sawlogs are a valuable raw material for heavily used furniture, tool handles and sports equipment. We assess the health, quality and usable heartwood of every stem.

SYCAMORE MAPLE SAWLOGS

We buy sycamore maple sawlogs for light-coloured furniture components, stairs, worktops and musical instruments. As this is a less common species, we assess every offered stem individually.

WALNUT SAWLOGS

Walnut sawlogs are sought after for their dark colour and distinctive grain. We purchase them for designer furniture, visible interior features and veneer production.

CHERRY SAWLOGS

We buy cherry sawlogs suitable for designer furniture and high-value interior features. We look for timber whose warm reddish-brown colour and fine grain will stand out after processing.

ALDER SAWLOGS

We process alder sawlogs into material for furniture, decorative cladding and finer joinery products. Alder is valued for its light, honey-toned colour and easy machinability.

EUROPEAN LIME SAWLOGS

We buy European lime, also known as linden, for carving, artworks, musical instruments and decorative features. Its softness and fine texture make detailed machining and carving possible.

BLACK LOCUST SAWLOGS

We buy black locust, also known as robinia, for products exposed to moisture and outdoor conditions. Typical applications include decking, garden furniture, posts, flooring and small bridges.

BIRCH SAWLOGS

We buy birch sawlogs for furniture, cladding, carving and artistic projects. Once processed, the timber has a light colour and fine grain.

We process poplar sawlogs into lightweight, easy-to-machine material. It is used for cladding, lightweight structures, plywood and smaller joinery products.

Softwood sawlogs we buy

RED SPRUCE SAWLOGS

We buy “red spruce” sawlogs for cladding, interior furniture, roof structures and timber buildings. This timber is also suitable for projects where a more distinctive grain is required.

SPRUCE SAWLOGS

We process spruce sawlogs into sawn timber for timber buildings, log homes, cladding and decorative features. Each stem is purchased according to its quality and usable yield.

PINE SAWLOGS

We buy pine sawlogs for roof trusses, load-bearing structures, log homes, furniture, flooring and stairs. Once processed, pine stands out for its strength and characteristic resinous grain.
